Topic: Radio 4 Today Program JAM re-edit 10/2/2015 (Doctor Who)

About 8.20 today 10/2/2015 Today played a re-edit of David Tennant's 60 second speech, inserting buzzing and such like after he did repeat "stage". Apparently they played the full minute earlier but I was otherwise engaged.

Somehow I doubt this is the first debut unchallenged round but Nicholas does like to exaggerate for the sake of showmanship.

BTW the funny Time Travel episode was from 5 Jan 2003 How to Hand in your Resignation - the subject One Minute. From the best period of JAM in my opinion.

And the PM programme Radio 4 10/2/2015 is celebrating David Tennant's go on JAM by running selected 1 minute talks through the programme. They've just done Kenneth, next up Sheila.

Yeh, thought it was Nicholas with his knickers in a twist.

My nightly sojourn with JAM plugged into my ears has just revealed Pam Ayres had a debut full 60 seconds on Dentists...episode 20/1/2003 Upstaging People. And it was a fairly won two points not one contrived by the other panellists.

Pretty sure there are other extroverts who put in debut 60 seconds, but I've proved the point. I don't think we should count those contestants who were forced to stumble for up to 90 seconds until Nic freed the whistle blower's wrist.

Unless of course Pam is one of those with two "debuts" as ascribed by Nic, Helen Lederer being one.

actually Pam did make her debut on TV in 1999.

I haven't attempted a list yet but am certain that David Tennant is not the first to go through the full 60 on debut.
