Hi all,

Firstly apologies to Mark. I never read the thread in order, so I mentioned your site. Can I suggest that maybe Pylon.net is a good substitute?

To remind everyone Mark advised us not to name his site, auntie, or what you put on crusty bread and butter.

Now to report that within 24 hours after I found Mark's site blocked by K9 web protection which is part of Blue Coat as porn  I am pleased to announce that BC reviewed the site and has downgraded it to Adult/Mature and Entertainment. So I am on Mark's wonderful site enjoying marmalade, and am able to instantly spread it on my toast at home thanks to my laptop's pop up button save or open. So if you find it blocked ask for it to be unblocked by your web protection.

Mark asked if we could fund another site. I would chip in. At some point I will investigate how to get media@fi@re files on the yahoo group site...when I get more time. Big job coming up when the weather eases.

Thank you to Mark for sterling work.

There is an Ar@chers p@dcast website archive hosted by someone who uses his personal website and his identity is there for all to see. That has been running for some years, and he even has his own business advertised on it as sponsor. Last time I listened the advert ran over the opening music of each episode.

Not related.

Anyone know if people in the USA can listen to auntie I@player radio shows? I want to recommend Marmalade to someone there.

Anyone know how to get alerts to attendance opportunities at live recordings of Marmalade being posted? I log on to their site occasionally and usually find they are fully booked/not advertised. Maybe I just need to log on every week. The emailed newsletter only advertises new shows.

Best regards,

Dave

Brilliant work, Mr Pondy.

(BTW - until now I've read your nick as "Ponydave" and imagined you as a pallid semi-bearded nerd in a fedora with delusions and a stuffed-toy-animal fetish. My sincere apologies for that... unless that is in fact the truth... in which case... you just - um - go on - um - doing that thing. Yay for you! Cough...)

But I digress.

Many thanks for implementing the elevation of my synthetic domain's reputation from 'very naughty' to at least 'semi-nice'. It has never been exactly family-friendly, but then again neither have I. My Clement-Freudian misreading of your nickname is ample evidence of the way my wetware works.

For similar reasons I often see signs and wonder, "Why are shoplifters advertising on vans?" and then realise the signs actually say "Shopfitters." And my most recently-viewed movie is 'Visitor Q'. See it once... never forget it.

I hope Pondy's sterling efforts have increased the accessibility of our jar of jamlike episodes, and I appreciate his effort to fly under the takedown radar to avoid the flak.

Yes, I do
(1) know the B (Buzz! Repetition!) C has not yet targeted free episode uploaders,
and I
(2) appreciate that these obfuscations and euphemisms seem pretty daft and paranoid,
but
I don't fancy being the charlie in court as a test case when the B-buzz-C has a fit of the vapours and decides to call for the QCs to Set Things Right.

For that reason, I apologise for my circumlocution and opacity when discussing the name of my domain in conjunction with the name of our favourite show.
Paranoid I may seem, but when there is a real and present danger, paranoia is just sensible self-preservation.

Please know that there is no reason to avoid mentioning the B(Buzz)C, JAM or 'Just A Minute' here. I certainly don't want to obstruct the normal and traditional behaviour of this Yahoo group.

I would just request that you simply please avoid mentioning my domains' names in obvious ways. Those robots nowadays can do more than add 2+2; they can put pi and i together to get an irrational and imaginary value that just happens to be your mobile phone number.

BTW "Pylon.net" is already registered, so I may check whether the "nylon.pet" domain exists... which reminds me. My little stuffed pony needs me...

Damn! I didn't say say that. I did not say that.
I am NOT a brony.
Neigh!
Oops. Dammit. I meant to say "Nay!"

Thanks Mark,

I am an ecologist so outdoor work and hard graft in difficult terrain and lots of sun melded me. Plus a brain to write it all up in consultancy reports.I do have a fetish for wildlife and that is what makes my life.

Dave
