Radio 4 broadcast a JAM special this morning Aug 24th at 9am, recorded at the Edinburgh Festival with Paul, Gyles, Susan Calman & Tom Allen. Janey Godley was advertised but was a no-show.

That's odd.  Is it part of the new series and just broadcast early as a festival thing?

Either way, thanks for the heads-up!

interesting - they do usually run a series during the Edinbugh Festival, but the season seems to be running later this year. Interesting. Janey is in the other Edinburgh show - wonder when that will run! We will need to keep an eye on the schedules!

The JAM special is now in the Jam Jar - JAM-2015-08-24@857,S72E09=Edinburgh_Festival_Special=Whiskey_Galore.

And TUT is back! I'll put the current series in the Jar too.

I was on at 9.30pm on 24th Aug, quite a good one, with Paul, at last, managing to do a "'let's march" speech without someone spoiling it by challenging.

It is part of the last series, advertised as such when they did the tickets lottery for this and the others.

And for me really odd to hear a broadcast at such a time in the evening, what with the normal slot being taken up with ISIHAC I think.

In the 1970-80s shows were broadcast on a Tuesday or Wednesday evening, and the repeats came, not the same week, but well later in the year, broadcast around lunchtime. In the UK that is. We didn't have a satirical comedy then and were treated to, I think, Going Places on a Friday evening in the current satire slot, just in case we needed an idea as to what to do at the weekend. Grief!!
