Auntie has placed a package under the tree for JAM fans, but it can't be opened it until 8:00 GMT on Christmas day.  It's a Junior Just a Minute programme that features Paul Merton and Josie Lawrence.

Merry Christmas,

Pete

Yes, good to know that the DVB EPG was correct when it listed the last Junior JAM as 1 of 2. I wasn't expecting us to have to wait six weeks for the second part, though!

The digital guide I use only lists programmes 3 days ahead, so I'll have to wait a few more days to get their description for the forthcoming episode, although the info on the BBC website does confirm that it's a new one by listing the junior half of the teams:

Paul Merton and Josie Lawrence make up the grown-up half of each team, along with young players Joe from Leicester and Sophie from Burton-on-Trent.

With all the extra episodes of JAM we have been treated to over the last couple of years, it's now quite possible that Nicholas could be hosting the 1000th recording in a few years time!

So far he's appeared in 864 radio episodes, 58 televised episodes (plus 2 untransmitted pilot shows!), 12 junior episodes plus a couple of specials,
Gardeners' Question Time meets Just a Minute and Red Nose Day 2011. The Jim'll Fix It appearance didn't include Nicholas so we can't include that one. Did I miss any others out?

Anyway, the above brings the total to 938 recordings of the show featuring Nic. With 2017 being the 50th anniversary since the first broadcast, it would be nice to have another TV series to celebrate (maybe 20 episodes this time?) and with another 6 radio series over the next couple of years, Episode 1000 is firmly within our sights...

Long Live Nicholas Parsons!

Merry Christmas...

Simon
