Topic: JAM number?

It's good to see the old Jam back on the air.

After the repeated broadcast at the end of the previous series, is this ep being numbered 866 or 865? This came up last year, but I can't remember if any consensus was reached.

Hi, fellow deviators,

I originally numbered last season's final repeat broadcast as #865.
Now I just had to assign a number to today's broadcast, so decisions had to be made.
Since it's not a new episode, I don't figure the repeat should be given a new number.

So I've just dropped the latest episode - S74E01 - into the Jar, numbered #865.

It's subject to change since we can't go on with conflicting sectarian numbering schemes... and frankly I don't care much either way.

Cheers
Mark

I definitely agree with only giving it one number.

Personally, I'm good with the way Dean has handled this on his site.  Making it "officially" episode 8 of Season 73.  He's included both airdates in the guide on his site, but kept it with the Season 73 episodes.

You could maybe include a text file in its Season 72 position, in much the way you do for the missing episodes?

Currently I have the placeholder in the position of the second broadcast, since that one was the repeat. It doesn't really matter too much either way.
As long as the absolute numbering remains the same, it's all good.
