I thought Katherine did okay, if not great. I was impressed that she managed the full minute on her first attempt at speaking, but sadly she was on the quiet side for the rest of the program which was a bit disappointing. I hope her next appearance will be a bit better, as I do enjoy her on her other various TV and radio appearances (Mock the week, Unbelievable truth, etc).

I also got a little frisson when Katherine mentioned her (and my) hometown of Sarnia, Ontario, where she grew up, and where I was born and still live. That was a little bit of fun for me.

I see next week's episode features another novice player in the shape of Zoe Lyons. I think she's quite funny on Mock The Week, so will be interesting to see how she fares against the usual JAM stalwarts.

I thought Katherine did okay on her first appearance. I was impressed that she did the full minute her first time speaking. But apart from that, she didn't really challenge or participate all that much to my disappointment. I hope her second appearance will be a bit better.

On the plus side, my hometown of Sarnia, Ontario (her birthplace) was mentioned in a round, that gave me a little frisson when I heard it.

Also, I saw on the Radio 4 website that we'll be getting another novice player in the shape of Zoe Lyons. She's quite funny on Mock The Week, so will be interesting to see how she does on JAM.
