Hi again all.

Thanks for the replies. I ended up buying the wretched cd again, this time from itunes. Another win for the corporations. I really hate the idea that I (actually my mum and I) have had to pay for the same product twice.

Thanks again for the goodwill. Much appreciated.

Chris Williams.

I seethe when I remember the hyperbole surrounding the 'indestructibility' of CDs when they first appeared. While supposedly being able to survive a tank driving over the discs, most people found that sneezing loudly in another room was enough to destroy a tender CD.

I sympathise with your data loss. I have all the normal Dad's Army radio eps, but not the Lost Tapes.

Hi everyone,

I wonder if anybody in the group will be able to help me. I know that this is not Just A Minute related but I will give it a go anyway.

My problem is this. My mother, who lives in the UK, sent me the CD of 'Dad's Army- The Lost Tapes' for Christmas. I finally got around to listening to it over the weekend and the story 'Santa on Patrol' skips and jumps all over the place. In short it is completely stuffed! I called mum and she still has the receipt for it, but to post it back to her for an exchange is worth more than buying an new CD from Amazon. I feel completely cheated because a brand new CD should not have a problem like this.

Now for my plea...!  I am wondering, does anyone in our JAM group happen to have this CD and, if so, would it be possible for me to get a copy of 'Santa on Patrol'? I really would prefer my disk to be perfect but I will be happy with an mp3 or something. I just don't want the expense of sending the disc back and then mum paying even more money to send a new one back to me.

Thanks for any help.
