I wish they had played these shows in a different order as I am
constantly asked about this - of course everyone assumes I've got it
wrong. the other one I'm always asked about is Derek Nimmo's last
appearance.

The first time Paul appeared on JAM, his debut appearance is 390.

But they played the shows in a different order than they were recorded.
So he recorded another show (393) BEFORE he recorded 390.

Nevertheless it would be absurd and certainly very confusing to try to
order the shows in any order other than broadcast order.

On tributes, Derek died while a season of JAM was on the air so it would
have been strange if some mention hadn't been made of it. Peter and
Kenneth died while the show was not on the air.
