R.I.P. Tim Brooke-Taylor.

He did do many episodes of JAM, but he was always a Goodie when he was there.

Well said Mark, although I think a "not" was missing from your message. Tim was (probably) not famous for his JAM appearances, but he did stir up Nick by challenging some of his decisions. Of course, he became (In Kenneth's words) a cult figure for his characterisation of Lady Constance de Coverlet in ISIRTA.

Speaking of which, could we have a new jar containing episodes of ISIRTA? Personally, I don't care for the earlier series, but I think the episodes from the magnificent 9th and last series would be a welcome addition to your treasure chest. I have (as I'm sure many others also have) decent recordings of the complete last series, including the two no longer considered suitable for broadcast by the BBC

Tim appeared just 3 times on JAM:

Once in Series 13 (1979) with Kenneth Williams, Clement Freud and Kenneth Robinson
Twice in Series 15 (1981) with Kenneth Williams, Barry Took and Peter Jones

All three shows hosted by Nicholas, of course, with Ian as whistleblower and David Hatch as producer.

The scary thing is, out of all the names mentioned above, only Kenneth Robinson (born in 1950) is still alive!

In fact, from Series 1 up to Series 8 (1967-1973) all the men involved have now passed on - only some of the females guests are still with us...

so sad to see this... As Simon says, a generation of brilliant ground-breaking comedians now almost all gone ... we still have their work though to admire...
