I haven't heard this one in a while, only cuz the copy I have seems to have a bad audio fault where you can't hear anything for a couple of minutes into the show and lasts for quite a few minutes.

I thought it was terribly unfair what Nick did to Jeremy on that occasion, when you consider that there have been other people who have challenged themselves in the past and he's not treated them in the same manner he treated Jeremy.

and nowadays sometimes people will challenge themselves twice in a row and not have that sort of penalty put on them the way it was put on Jeremy.

the only other time something similar happened in that fashion was during an episode when Derek blew his own whistle to make it seem like he spoke when the whistle went. on that occasion it was funny, and it was appropriate when Nick gave bonus points to the others instead of Derek.

regarding Nick's errors, believe me it wouldn't surprise me at all if there were plenty more of them littered throughout the series as a whole. there was one time I remember I think it was in '05 or '06 in Edinburgh, where one of the guests was Rhod Gilbert, and Rhod pointed out that Nicholas looked directly at him, and called him Paul rather than Rhod, and Nicholas didn't even give a reasonably explanation for the fluff.

another stupendous bluff I think came during the last show in the '06 season, I may have mentioned it before, but to which Nicholas actually started off the show by saying there were somewhere else entirely rather than where they actually were, which was Dorsett.

I don't think this is an edit as Aimee had 20 seconds when she
started off and only got a few words out.

It just surprises me in a game where the objective is to listen and
most of them are competitive that this would get past them. Obviously
it is easier to play at home (in this game Jeremy
repeated 'syllables' and was picked up. I do think that Nick often
catches more than the players.
