Topic: JAM Televison Series!

About 18 episodes of the JAM TV Show have been posted to UK Nova as torrents:
http://uknova.com/wsgi/torrent/view/51594

I have a membership, but I can't download them because the proxy at my university blocks that kind of thing. Would anyone be able to snatch them and re-upload to, say, Gigasize.com? It would be preferable if you already have a membership, but if you're really having trouble, contact me and I'll see if we can work something.

From the torrent description:

As promised, here are all of the Just A Minute television programmes I have.

Four series of Just A Minute have so far been made forTelevision; the first three of these were shown only on Carlton (thenthe London weekday ITV franchise holder) between 1994 and 1995.

The first series aired weekly on Thursday nights at 10:40pm,after News at Ten. These carried sponsorship messages from the LondonEvening Standard. I believe the second series also occupied a similartime slot, but I'm not sure about the third series.

The BBC series, shown from April to May 1999, aired daily from Monday to Friday in a Daytime slot on BBC One around lunch time.

This torrent contains almost all of the BBC programmes. Out ofthe full run of 20 programmes, 16 are complete. Programmes 1, 11 and 15are missing, while only the first five minutes of Programme 9 arepresent.

Also included are two programmes from the third ITV seriesfirst shown some time around 1995. These are the later format, wherethe contestants are split into two teams of two players: the "Midlands"team and the "London" team, captained by regulars Dale Winton and TonySlattery respectively. Note that the recordings herein are from arepeat run of the series, so I am unable to verify the originaltransmission dates.

Original transmission dates for the BBC shows given below are100% cast-iron guaranteed to be correct as I have used the dateinformation from the Teletext data captured on the original VHSrecording. Note that some Web sites give incorrect transmission datesfor these.

Obviously, if anyone has any missing programmes, especiallyfrom the earlier ITV series (these were by far the funniest in myopinion) please let me know!

For what it's worth, I do have some of the earlier,
pre-Dale Winton, ITV shows on tape. They really were
fantastic. I'll have to put them on the computer at
some point. (I assumed someone would already have done
them all, though.)

When "It's Time for Just A Minute" reappeared on UKN, I sent a note to
the kind soul who shared it, and they had no problem with it being
shared here, too.

I'd wager this uploader will feel the same way, though there's no way
of knowing until they've been asked. (I know a couple of the UKN JAM
fans are here, so the uploader is among us! Are you here?????)

Once the OK comes in, I'll be glad to be the "keeper" of some of those
TV programs, once I've downloaded them.
(However, I can't download 'em for another week or so ----I'm in
Kathmandu til the 18th.)

These shows aren't terribly large (250-300mb), but they are too big
for the file service of choice around here, so the files either need
to be split (which is a pain for some people as it's not always easy
to rejoin, depending which OS you use, and what was used to split
'em), or put somewhere like gigasize or megaupload(and I'm sure there
are others), as they don't limit files sizes for folks who don't pay
for premium memberships.

I put the Arena program up on both those services, and there have been
a good number of downloads, but no reports of any trouble accessing
the files.

I am now! Actually I didn't know this group existed until someone
mentioned it in a torrent comment on UKN.

Sure I have no problem with posting the TV shows here, but obviously I
don't have much upstream bandwidth at present due to all the UKN
leechers.

Incidentally, where are the files? I see nothing in the Files section?

Ooh, yes yes yes! Please! It would be wonderful to see these again -
any of the ITV shows would be brilliant.

I would be more than happy to do all the donkey-work if you don't have
the time or inclination. Where abouts on the globe are you?

Files are in the Links section.

Yahoo gives us so little space theres not room for 682 radio and some TV ones and a dcumentary. So we use mediafire.com instead. :-)

Greg.

Glad you joined! I was giving up hope for the appearance of the TV
episodes, and your uploads are very welcome. Thank you so much.

Hooray and welcome! It may have been my comment over on ukn (using
still another alias), but that doesn't matter---thanks so much for
sharing the shows.
You can find the files listed in the "links" section to the left. I'll
be happy to upload some of the tv shows after I take the torrent---I'm
in Nepal this week and couldn't possibly do it with the hotel
connection I'm using.
Most of the files here are on on mediafire---I uploaded the Arena
program "It's Time For Just A Minute" to both megaupload and
gigasize, as they allow files over 100mb.

thanks (and welcome) again!

Thanks for the positive comments. I'm just pleased to allow others to
get some enjoyment out of them.

I will see if I can upload some of them to one of the file-download
places, but in the mean time if you've got an account on
http://www.thebox.bz/ I have uploaded them there also:

BBC Series: http://www.thebox.bz/details.php?id=17848&hit=1
ITV S03E11: http://www.thebox.bz/details.php?id=17852&hit=1
ITV S03E12: http://www.thebox.bz/details.php?id=17853&hit=1
