Topic: Question about Wendy Richard on JAM

I've been wanting to know about a particular incident on JAM featuring
the lovely Wendy Richard for a long time. While reading through Dean's
JAM cast list page, I read that Wendy once flatly refused to begin on
a subject that she was given. I've been dying to know which episode
this incident took place.

It was one of the shows recorded at the Drill Hall and played on 29 July
2002 and 19 August 2002, where Wendy appeared with Tony Hawks, Kit
Hesketh-Harvey and Sue Perkins. The incident was edited out of the
recording. Claire Jones told me it was a very very hot summer night, the
Drill Hall was poorly air-conditioned and crowded and she believed the
temperatures had gone to the performers' heads!

Although she is still listed on the BBC's main JAM page as a "present
panellist" it's now four years since she did the show, and I'm told she
is unlikely to appear again. But a new producer must allow the
possibility of being forgiven...
