Topic: Various JAM questions....

Now... some questions I have been pondering over lately...

Was Barbara Blake the only black contestant to have appeared on the
show?

In series 2 when there were just 3 panellists and a chairperson - how
was the stage laid out? When there are 4 panellists it is Nick in the
middle and 2 players either side... but did they have a desk with 3
players and Nick facing or what??!!!!

Anyone notice how Wendy plays in a very negative way? She always
starts with 'I don't know anything about...' or ' I don't like....'
and always states what is bad about something rather than giving her
spiel a positive slant.

Whatever happened to Aimi McDonald? (I have said on a previous post
that I cannot bear her squeaky, giggling, coy performance that always
left Nick drooling and favouring her at the expense of the game and
usually to the other players annoyance.)

Which guests appearnces do you think didn't work? For me it would be
Fenella Fielding and Joan Turner for the women and Warren Mitchell,
and surprisingly Willie Rushton for the men.

Well, according to the cast pages on Dean's site, Millie Small was the
first black contestant on the show, and she also appeared during
Series 1 -- episode 6 to be exact, which sadly is one of the "missing"
eps that no one seems to have anywhere.

Adding to Emile's comment, Craig Charles appeared on the TV versions if
we include those. But yeah it's an omission isn't it. We've had no Asian
people either. Maybe the current producer will remedy this as she is,
I'm assuming, of Indian descent.

I don't know for certain, but on the TV pilot that included three
panellists, they had them seated in a row at an angle to Nicholas and
ian Messiter. Which would make sense to me rather than having two on one
side and one on the other.

She's still active on the stage. This is her CV at her agent's web site
http://www.maddengroup.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/bar/details/aimimcd.htm. A
friend wrote to her three or four years ago and she said she'd love to
do JAM again "but you have to be asked". Her favourites to work with
were Kenneth and Peter Jones.

Not sure I agree about Gerry Kelly, but Greg Proops would certainly be
on my list.
If we're including the Television episodes... pretty much all the
guests from the BBC series would be on my list :-(
Giles Brandreth is quite good at the game, but he just makes me cringe!

don't know if I'd agree with all of the guests that appeared on JAM TV, cuz there were quite a few that were quite good, like Dale Winton.  I guess its all a matter of opinion really.
