Topic: Any Manchester shows likely?

Sorry, I'm a bit new here and don't know a lot about Just A Minute so
I'm picking your collective brains on this. I know they do shows all
around the country, but how often do they come anywhere near
Manchester? The only show I've heard of from here was with Arthur Smith
on. I think that was in the mid-90s...

I'll keep a look out here anyway for ticket news, just if anyone knows
anything, I'd be very grateful.

Also thank you to everyone who has posted files on here. I heard one
episode by chance almost a year ago, then slowly thanks to this site,
have managed to listen to a lot of shows. I only have a couple of CDs
but the episodes are already on here. I've been lurking here for a
while, but thought I'd finally show my face (so to speak) and say 'Hi!'.

Welcome Cat.

I too live in Manchester, and although I can't speak for JAM I can
confirm that that other great stalwart of the Radio 4 comedy
schedules - 'Clue - has regularly recorded in and around the city. I
don't think JAM has the same appeal in the North West anyway, chiefly
due to the fact that Parsons Senior delivered that ailing crone who
once ran the country. Very nearly into the ground. Bit of politics,
apologies.

Welcome aboard - nice to see you Cat.

We do post any info we have on recordings here. Sorry i don't know if
Manchester is on the list soon, but I can recommend travelling to a
recording. I've travelled twice from about as far away as you can get!

I'll have to get to a recording soon. It's just easier to persuade
non-obsessive friends to tag along if there's not the cost of a few
hours on the train and an overnight stay in it...I'll have to throw
something they want into the bargain too!

I've signed up for that newsletter from the BBC so I should be
prepared now...I'll see if I can time a London recording with a trip
to the Comedy Store Players - something I recommend to everyone on
here.

same from me and all . dean you must have had your christmas by now if
you are on the same time zone as australia !
