Just A Minute

Jack Dee and his impressive debut got me thinking about a few of the
other first shows i've enjoyed: arthur smith and josie lawrence being
two that popped into my brain immediately. ( It was very obvious how
much fun Arthur Smith was having!) And then there is
Tim Brooke-Taylor, who won the show the first time he played. I can't
think of another player who's done that....are there more?

And why is it that he's only appeared two other times, the most recent
of which was when Kenneth Williams was still a regular? Is it
something to do with his being on ISIHAC? (which had to have been
running already by his last JAM)

I listened to that show again recently (it's 265 in the "very special"
pack from the ABC and sounds great!), and was surprised to hear him
buzz himself. I thought that was a newer tactic, but this program was
from 1979. Has that trick been going on since the series began?
