Tonight’s episode from Bristol was very funny indeed. I loved the themes of monkeys and apes carried on from an episode earlier in the series “an infinite number of monkeys”), so Graham Norton was very much in his element. And a great moment of mirth when Nicholas accidentally called Sue Perkins “Clement”! J

here's what I wrote on my blog...

Paul Merton, Tony Hawks, Graham Norton and Sue Perkins. A team for the
future. They all seemed to very much enjoy playing the game with each
other. It was very funny carrying on with Graham's wish to talk again
about monkeys, though of course it only works if people are on
reasonably frequently. He was at his best. Sue Perkins was very good.
She has an equal worst record for winning on JAM - 19 shows without a
win, equal with Chris Neill - but as usual she was actually very
competitive. Surely she must win some time soon. Paul was Paul, good as
ever. Tony Hawks slightly disappointing I thought.

Wasn't it funny when Nicholas called Sue "Clement"? Paul did well with
that as did Sue.

A very good show. Can't wait for the second outing from this panel now.

Can't wait to hear this, especially with the notion of Nicholas calling Sue 'Clement', boy I hope they ripped him apart for that. I can understand someone calling another person by a different name if that person is of the same sex, but for Nicholas to call a young woman by the name of an elderly balding man is just beyond senile dementia in my opinion. it would be an honest mistake if Clement was actually there ON THE PANEL, but it's quite clear that he wasn't. but then again, we are talking about someone that doesn't believe in extra WIDE fitting shoes, and thinks that using contractions is a colloquialism of speech, lets not forget that he thinks that someone having a face deserves a bonus point.

I was at the Bristol show and haven't commented on it before as I thought people would want to hear it first. Both shows are very funny and there was a lot of good banter between the guests during the show and the interval between recordings. Tony Hawks said between takes that he was just warming up for the next show as he hadn't said much in the first. Sue Perkins was excellent and took the mickey out of Nicholas a lot. Enjoy the next show.

i hope tony hawks says a bit more in the next show . he can be a
bit quiet at times but only in the second show of a recording , i
have never heard him be this quiet in the first . it was good to see
graham norton and sue perkins could keep paul merton a bit more
quiet then usual too . as paul who posted above said it will be
interesting i think to hear the second show . how will they keep
graham and sue quiet to give paul merton and tony hawks a fair go !
