I want to write a long appreciation of Paul - but for the moment let's just
say he is the heart of the programme today and - I think - the funniest
person ever to appear on it.

I agree - he adds so much creative and brilliant humour and really knows how to throw a  lift the show when it is falling a little flat.
I read on a blog that he went to India for his latest travel series last week, so is there filming it now.  He will be there for 9 weeks.

That said - I'm on holiday again. Would someone like to help me out with
the detail of today's show for posting on the website. All I need is the
names of the panel, the subjects and the winner/s.

I have put the winner of the show at the end of the post.

Nicholas Parsons chairs the devious word game from the De Montfort Hall, Leicester. Panellists include Paul Merton, Clement Freud, Josie Lawrence and Chris Neill.
Broadcast 25th February - Paul mentions during the second round that it is the 30th November. Trudi Stevens blowing the whistle.

First round started with Josie Laurence talking about "Red Leicester" (cheese).
Second Round started with Chris Neill talking about "Once in a blue moon".
Third Round started with Clement on "Upping the Ante"
Fourth Round started with Paul on "Stating the obvious".
Fifth Round started with Josie on "What the Butler Saw"
6th - Chris - "If I can do it all again".
7th - Clement -"Kangaroo Court"

I thought it was an excellent panel tonight and a hilarious show.  Nicholas hosted the show with his usual aplomb.   I think he does a wonderful job and takes the ribbing in excellent humour and keeps the show moving along along the rules, but remembering the point is to keep the audience interested and laughing.   It surprises me that he annoys some people so much.

Paul won, of course.   They didn't mention it was his 200th show.

Enjoy your trip, Dean.
