Topic: Absolute Power & ISIRTA (& now WLIIA :o)

I soon got fed up with the hassle of having to upload progs to a file share site, put links on the JAM
site and send out emails.

Soooooo...

I bit the bullet and set up a HFS web server on my PC and opened an account at DynDNS (as I don't have
a fixed IP address) so it now just takes a few seconds and clicks to share the files requested on this group.

My Progs are available at http://www.bikeshed.kicks-ass.org

As ever, there is a link at 'Links -> Other shows'

The downside is, of course, that as I have an ADSL account so my upload speed is slower than my download.
N.B. My upload speed will be your download speed, unless you are still on dial-up of course.

So please let me know how your downloads go.

Sorry Bobby, I do not have Whose Line Is It Anyway  not yet anyway...
I am searching for it as we speak (or exchange emails anyway)     J   ***

Of course, you could always use BitTorrent to find programs yourselves.  J

Info on HFS at http://www.rejetto.com/hfs/

Info on DynDNS at http://www.dyndns.com/

Info on uTorrent at http://www.utorrent.com/

*** Bingo - just found some WLIIA episodes at http://radioarchive.cc/index.php

Looks like there was only ever 1 radio series of it -> http://www.radiolistings.co.uk/programmes/whose_line_is_it_anyway_.html
Cheers

Don,

thank you, for at least pointing not only me, but all of us in the right direction.  You are awesome.  :)

Why thank you kind sir.
You, of course, are perfectly correct   J

The news on WLIIA is good - it's downloading now, only half done - the seeds are currently few - only one
out of four currently on line.

I'll keep you posted.

Cheers

someone did - I was watching the uploads

I am in the process of moving to a new PC, the old one is on 24x7 at the moment and it is not
up to much, being an old spec'n, so I don't run the webserver on it as well as BitTorrent clients.
I do not really want to leave 2 x PCs on 24x7 anyway so the website is not available 24x7.

I am in the UK so it will be available approx 09:00 - 23:00 GMT

Things will improve when the transfer is complete, then the new PC will be on 24x7.

Cheers
