Just a Minute Charity Event - Done and Dusted

I will do a longer post but just to say that the event was a great
success and it was a real honour to meet up with Nicholas Parsons and
his wife, Ann. And the real 'first' was Ann being Nicholas' time keeper
and scorer! She rose to the challenge but made some delightful gaffs by
forgetting to blow the whistle at the end of the minute and not
starting the stopwatch when Nicholas said 'now'.

Only one of the panel, John Sergeant, had appeared on JAM proper and
you could really see the other struggling as they go to grips with the
flow of speaking, adhering to the rules and all this while under the
very watchful eye of Nicholas!

Anyway, I will write more soon but just to say that Nicholas carried
the event well and though, close up, you can see his advanced years
(85?!) once he was behind the desk he was fluid, eloquent, encourgaing
and definitley in control.
