Paul Merton has clocked up his 11th Bafta nomination, this time for his
TV series on China. Paul Merton In China is a finallist for best factual
series. His main show Have I Got News For You is also a finallist in
Best Entertainment Show.

According to The Independent, John Willis, the chairman of the Bafta
television committee, said: "It shows Paul Merton's versatility. It was
a travel series, but with humour and humanity and clearly worked very
well with the audience. It showed he had the range to move out of the
Have I Got News For You studio."

Stephen Fry is also a finallist in Best entertainment performance for QI.

Let's hope we get three wins on April 20!

-Yay for both Paul and Stephen--- I have the Paul Merton in China dvd
on Pre Order at Amazon UK ( oh what trouble I can get into at that
place epecially as I do have an all regions dvd player so far I have
been good and not spent all my money there LOL )
It was supposed to be released this month but I got an email from
AmazonUK that the dvd was pushed back till mid June. I was going to
have a dvd party complete with chinese food to watch it-now we will
have to wait
So is Paul the 'new' michael palin of travel shows? What I have seen
on Youtube.com looks interesting.

QI is a fun show too- our brit tv watching group gets to see most of
it. Miriam
