Although so far, he has only made one appearance on JAM, regardless
it was still quite a memorable appearance that stuck in my mind, and
has left me wanting to hear more from this talented young man.
Lee Mack did very well in the show, he had what it took to keep going
and spoke quite well on subjects, and contributed well to the
inbetween banter with the other panelists. In fact, there was a bit
of a running gag that Lee would challenge to say that something had
made him sick or disgusted, like the notion of Nicholas having
tattoos on his body, or Nicholas' comment that he was not prepared to
strip off in public to prove it, or that he kept taking Janet's hand
and pushing it down... as though he were saying that he was pushing
it down his own pants.
In addition, he had a very memorable moment in that he was talking I
believe about Robert Burns and mentioned him having the biggest lunch
bok in Scotland, and after being challenged said that it was a South
African Lunch box.
I thought for sure he'd be amongst those given more of a shot with
someone like Tilusha Ghelani in charge of the show now, but I guess
not. Here's hoping though he might pop up again on an Edinburgh Show
in the future, cuz he fit the show like glove right off the bat, and
surely people like that should be given more of a chance to be on the
show rather than people who are just no good at the game regardless
of how many times they appear (Own O'Neil springs to mind).
I seem to recall that Lee Mack was even given his own radio variety
show on BBC 2 or BBC 3, I remember catching an episode or two and
thought it was very funny. I seem to recall each episode tended to
start off the same way, that some guest or other would be talking or
singing something and then suddenly from offstage Lee would come
screaming onto the set saying 'Whoa, whoa whoa hold it!'
If anyone has access to any episodes of the Lee Mack Show, and would
like to upload them, that would be awesome actually.
