Well, being American, I guess certain words have different meanings from what I'm used to.  When I hear the word 'skit', my mind thinks of a small scene or connection of scenes utilized in comedy shows like 'Saturday Night Live'.

Anyway, regarding whether or not Jeremy has been invited back, well, he did take part in a small game of JAM during a comedy tribute to Linda Smith, even though he only took part in the last round.

I also think that perhaps Jeremy doesn't feel that JAM is the proper vehicle for his style of comedy, which is the most likely of reasons why he hasn't been back.

I apologize for using words in a tautological and condescending manner, it wasn't my intent to do so, because lord knows I don't wish to end up turning into Nicholas Parsons.

I'm not sure what you think is factually incorrect, unless it 's just
the word "skit". The word "quip" or "joke" would better describe what
Jeremy was doing as it was just one sentence, but it's hardly a
significant factual error. My dictionary defines "skit" as "a light
piece of satire" and that's not a million miles away from what Jeremy
was doing. Jeremy did use the word parasites and clearly was referring
to the Royal Family.

I would more question the claim - in the original trivia - that he
hasn't been invited back to JAM since. For all we know he may have been
invited back several times. I doubt this one joke has had any effect at
all on his JAM career and Jeremy has continued to make jokes about the
Royals on News Quiz and Clue. Indeed the fact that he appears so often
on other Radio Four panel games is more likely to be the reason he
doesn't do JAM, IMO.

Finally just a thought. I'd like us to try and avoid phrases like "in
actual fact" and "actually to be accurate". Firstly the phrases are
tautological - all facts are actual - but more importantly they just
have a condescending tone which we want to avoid in a group where we all
try to be friendly with each other and have fun.
