Well.. as I said last time - I ban anyone who spams. This person has
already been banned from the group. The group has an open membership,
anyone can join. Unfortunately that includes spammers. But as soon as
they spam they get chucked out.

At the moment I think it's a good thing to have an open list membership
where people get automatic entry. Perhaps we'll have to change, but at
the moment I think the benefits outweigh the disadvantages.

You're welcome to discuss the open entry of course. Anyone who has a
thought on this - or any thoughts generally on protection against
spammers, please speak up. If there's a consensus for me to approve
people before they're allowed to join, I'm prepared to change.

But if you want to complain about a specific spammer it would be better
to send me an email offlist, so we're not sending the spam to the entire
list all over again...

thanks for the kind offer Linda. But really there is very little to do -
unless there are things I should be doing that I am not.

I've banned about 30 spammers now - that's about one a fortnight. It
doesn't seem to warrant extra help at this stage.
