Does anyone know how the BBc iPlayer works? Can one download a
programme to one's hard disc and then burn it to a dvd?

You can’t burn it without removing the protection.

Simple, just Google “protection removal” and make your choice.

You can definitely download to watch it off-line, but I haven't tried writing it to DVD. It's unlikley as it would be an open invitation to illegal copying. All progs have a 7-day expiry. Would they still expire if written to DVD?
