Topic: Man in court over comedy TV show

Paul mentioned this at the Manchester show while testing his mike.  A
man was arrested after falling off the sofa laughing at Have I Got News
For You.  His downstairs neighbour called the emergency services
thinking he was having a fit, the ambulance and police turned up and an
altercation happened resulting in the bloke being pepper sprayed and
spent the night in the cells.

I thought he had made it up last night, then I walked into work this
morning and someone was reading it. Fantastically funny, but that
poor man!

well at least he is still alive- anyone else remember when a man died
from Laughing while watching a Goodies episode ( the Icky thump one)
I first heard about it when an american late night talk show host
mentioned it many yrs ago. Miriam

Yeah that's true. I remember reading that someone literally died
laughing whilst watching A Fish Called Wanda in the theaters.

I love that story. I think it just heightens my love for Paul Merton. :)
