Nicholas? Sexy? Pardon me while my dinner leaves my stomach through my mouth and straight into the toilet.

Much like charisma, when it comes to sex appeal and Nicholas Parsons, there is a great void where sex appeal should exist.

This is true of him then as it is now, especially given his age. Granted there are certain people who can pull off being sexy even in old age, but Nicholas Parsons is not one of them.

I would hardly call his voice then or now to be commanding or sensual. Unless you find a man with a voice perpetually sounding like he's using a piece of cut glass as a throat lozenge, or sound as though he is using peanut butter as a denture adhesive to be sexy. Hey, whatever floats your boat.

I heartily agree regarding Fenella Fielding, her voice was simply divine. So was Betty Marsden and Geraldine Jones, in addition Maria McErlane has a very sexy voice. Janey Godley's voice I adore, mainly because I love Scottish accents, and when that accent is attached to a woman, it's wonderful. Ditto for a female Irish accent.

Jo Brand's voice has an intriguing quality, not sure if I'd call it sexy, although it has a certain allure attached to it.

And then of course there's Mariella Frostrup, a lovely raspy speaking voice sounding similar to Bonnie Tyler's singing voice, if that makes any sense.

Fenella Fielding came immediately to mind. Wendy Richard is kinda sexy 
or can be...

Of the men, (and preparing for the inevitable guffaws and jokes) 
Nicholas has and largely still has a commanding sensual voice. I'm 
struggling to think of many others though - I guess that they're largely 
older voices doesn't help.
