While I don't agree that he is repulsive -- he's still kinda cute for
his 80s (I like men with glasses and a wave in their hair, what can I
say?) -- I do agree his voice is not alluring. It's too HAPPY is the
best I can pin it down.
Derek and Gyles probably would have sexier voices if they didn't
trill their Rs so friggin' much. If they spoke more calmly, they
could probably tell a wonderful bedtime story.

Oooh, Geraldine's a good one. So proper, though. But maybe that adds
