On BBC 4-TV, Friday 9pm-10pm - The Jazz Musician's Jazz Musician &
10pm-10.50pm Humph's Last Stand, his last filmed jazz concert from 2007
and on Saturday 13th September 2008 10.30-11pm I'm Sorry I Haven't A
Clue - "filmed in April 2008, just three weeks before his death,
Humphrey Lyttelton chaired his final I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue at the
Lowry Centre's Lyric Theatre in Salford. This touring show features
many of Humph's best lines, favourite rounds from the Radio 4 series,
and is the only complete filmed version of I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue
in existence. The cast is the regular line up of Barry Cryer, Graeme
Garden, Tim Brooke-Taylor and pianist Colin Sell, with Jeremy Hardy as
the guest panellist."
Sounds brilliant !!

I downloaded the ISIHAC from UKNova. I loved it. It was nice to see
one of my favourite games (Quiz of Quizzes) done again. It just felt
strange watching the proceedings, but it was definitely a good show,
and nice to see Humph in one of his last appearances before his death.

Well I have the .avi file of the prog but it is
354MB.
The only online storage that will take a file that
large, that I know of, is FileSavr.
(If anyone knows of any others please let me
know)
This is a new service that is FREE - shock-horror -
and will take files up to 10GB.
As it is free it is being hammered, as you would
expect, and I tried to upload the prog to it
but it took days to upload and then bottled out
before it was finished - <sigh>
I am trying again and it appears to be faster this
time.
Fingers crossed.

The practice on those sites which provide this type of storage (e.g.
http://rapidshare.com ) is to limit file size to 100MB. So people commonly
post a 60 minute video file in four parts (i.e. 3 at 100MB and 1 for the
balance) as an RAR file.
The RAR program will re-integrate the pieces automatically. The only
drawback is that all parts of the file must be downloaded before the RAR
program will decode any of it.

Linda,
What kind of problem are you having with mega? I've used them for a
couple of years with no problems at all---as far as I know they still
accept files of any size, and the only size rule being that downloads
of over 500 mb are limited to just premium members. (and membership
can be purchased by the day, so it's worthwhile to save up a few
downloads and get them all at once)
Mega is the only site that hasn't "lost" any of my files---i dropped
my premium membership at gigasize when several files went missing and
while giga apologized, they admitted to server issues and were unable
to recover anything.
This also answers the question from Don regarding which site allows
uploads larger than 350mb for free members.

It's even better than what you say
frankntom...
Non registered members can upload up to 500MB
files.
Members registered as Free can upload up to 1GB
files.
Paying registered members are not limited at
all.
Plus you can install a Download Manager to help
with downlaods and there is a Plug-in for IE too.
I have just registered to see how it goes plus I am
downloading the file via the link Linda posted as a test.
Looks like it's going OK so far - what issue(s) did
you have Linda ?
Fast download too, been running for 5 minutes or so
and 67% done already.
483kB/s (3.8mb/s) download speed, pretty good in my
books.

Well 15 downloads to date, hope you're enjoying it.
If any of my other links have expired or are not working let me know
and I'll upload them to Megaupload as it seems reliable so far.
Plus I will get round to upping Parsley Sidings & The News Quiz
eventually. Just not enough hours in the day plus now got to worry
about the future of my job, along with its pension too.
Ho hum!
