hi guys . i should warn yopui form the start i am a techno eejit so
i hope my explination is understandable .

basically the problem i had with the megamanager part of megaupload
is that it was downloading files i had not asked it to . all of them
contained viruses ( according to my anti virus software which
removed the viruses ) when i went to try and remove the unwanted
uploads everytime i opened megamanager on my computer i got a
message from microsoft saying the software had encountered a problem
and had to close . this kept going on everytime tried to use the
software .
i re- uploaded the megamanager and even opened a new account and
still had the same thing happen . i just can;t get the freaking
thing to open without geting this software has encountered a problem
and has to cloase message . it is a pain in the face cos i have a
couple of uploads i want to send to a friend of mine in america plus
i also i have the live show of i'm sorry i haven't a clue that i
could upload if i could get megaupload to work ! if anyone could get
me round this problem so that i could use megaupload again i would
be greatful .

just for the record i uploaded the file i sent here and scanned it
before posting it . my anti virus software could find nothing
wrong . i uploaded it to megaupload before the trouble started .

cheers
Linda

Hi Linda,

I use mega on both a mac and a pc---there is no megamanager for the
mac, and the system works just fine. In fact, I rarely use it on the
PC either.
So, the first thing I'd suggest is that you remove it from your PC.
You don't need it to use the site--just sign in and take it from
there. You can still upload multiple files without it (i believe you
click on the icon that looks like an up arrow and a down arrow in that
group of icons on the left side of the page after you sign in), but
you can't download more than one at once. But, unless you've got great
speeds, i doubt you'd be dl-ing more than one at a time.
