Panel tonight in London was Paul Merton, Sir Clement Freud, Jack Dee and
Josie Lawrence. Great that Josie has been given another go and my friend
Keith says she was much more confident this time. Good to hear Jack Dee
again too.

Two more recordings to go this season.

looking forward to this one, although with some trepidation considering that her first two appearances were complete rubbish, and consisted mostly of Nicholas shamelessly buttering up to her, and not in an enjoyable Aimi MacDonald manner either.

I'm glad Jack Dee's back, he was great.

According to the local Lincoln newspaper, the team for Lincoln on
January 26th will be Paul Merton, Tony Hawks, Chris Neill and Justin
Moorhouse.

Justin is a Manchester based stand-up comedian and radio DJ. You can

Justin Moorhouse played Young Kenny on Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights. He was a very funny character.

He came second in the 2001 BBC New Comedy Awards, losing to Alan Carr.

While I’m on the BBC New Comedy Awards, I should probably mention that JAM panellists have been finalists in these awards. Lee Mack was a finalist in the first awards in 1995; Marcus Brigstocke was joint winner with Jenny Ross in 1996 (with Chris Addison as a finalist); Shappi Khorsandi was a finalist in 2000; Rhod Gilbert won the award in 2003 and forthcoming panellist Josie Long won the award in 1999 at the tender age of 17. Bless her! ♥

On an additional note, Julian Barratt (now of The Mighty Boosh) won the first ever award in 1995; Justin Lee Collins (regular on Whatever Day It Is Project alongside future winner Alan Carr) and Peter Kay were finalists in 1997 and Russell Howard (from Mock the Week) was a finalist in 2000.

I was fortunate to attend this recording and can say that Josie and
Jack did improve, although they were both still a bit overawed by Paul,
who was on pretty good form. Josie was VERY nervous and her hands were
seen to be shaking at the top of the show! I love the fact that Clement
can still be relied on to to come out with the driest comments...

thanks for that Steven. Good to hear about Clement - he seems very quiet
to me in recent recordings.
