Topic: Sadena site

I was hoping to download a few episodes tonight that I'm missing, but
the Sadena site isn't responding. Is the site generally reliable? Is
there a mirror for it, or are the files from there available anywhere
else? There are quite a few files available there that I'm missing.

Thanks to anyone with any information!

It goes up and down. I've learned to have patience and wait a few
hours when it's down, because it always comes back eventually. I'm
also working on DLing them all myself, so when that happens, I'll host
them somewhere else for helpfulness.

Thanks for the warning, it's back up and running now. I just wanted to
make sure that that sort of thing was normal. Incidentally, I am only
able to find shows through 1989 on the site. Are there more recent shows
somewhere else on the site or that I've missed, or is 1989 where the
archive ends?

It goes all the way up to the present day; the very last file you see
should be a link to a BBC radio ad for JAM. It does load rather slowly
at times, which is probably a combination of the sheer amount of files
it's hosting, and the number of people trying to use it (although from
what I've seen, it's a veritable public secret).

Interesting, the page I've found stops at 1989. Could you possibly send
me the link of the page that you're using, either on or off list? Maybe
I'm accessing the JAM collection from another part of the site.

Hope that helps. You might try reloading a few times.

And--my goodness. Are my eyes deceiving me, or does the member list read that you're in Fort Lauderdale? I'm in Gainesville at UF (national champions, baby!). How interesting that we could have been anywhere in the world (especially in a part of the world where JAM is actually broadcast on radio), and we're both in Florida. We should choose a middle ground, like, Orlando, meet up, neglect that silly Disney World, and have a JAMathon!

Wow, small world! I'm not actually in Florida at the moment, but I was
when I registered my Yahoo account and am from there originally. How did
you discover JAM? I happened to do a search for Stephen Fry on a
BitTorrent site, and JAM came up as a result; I downloaded an episode to
try it out, and the rest, as they say, is history.

No! You couldn't have! That's too weird! Demonoid.com, right? They had torrents for, like, "93 episodes of Just a Minute" . . . and I did a search for "Stephen Fry" and found them! I only downloaded Stephen's at first (about four of them) and then didn't even listen to them until my English-minded friend (who's a regular BBC Radio 4 listener) said, "Hey, you have 'Just a Minute'?" Then I listened and was hooked. Are we the same person?

Yep, Demonoid.com! Crazy. I've since downloaded a set of about 300 other
episodes from UKNova.com; the torrent doesn't appear to be active there
anymore. Those have been the two sources of my collection...until now!

I didn't even think to check UKNova back then! I tried to do so just a
few days ago and then realized that I had been to the Philippines for
a month and not checked my account in 42 (or whatever it was!) days,
and lost my gosh darned subscription. ::sigh::
