Yep that's it for this season as they are doing 12 shows.

David Mitchell did both of the last two shows and I am told was very
quick and clever - the shows became hugely competitive according to a
friend in the audience. He was more than a match for Paul and Clement.

On Robert Webb, I'm guessing I was the recipient of information which
confused the partners. Possibly Robert Webb is being lined up for next
season, but I think my first explanation is more likely.

Other points of interest in the season...

* Paul did all the shows while Clement did only half. He's only twice
before had less participation in a season.

* Kit Hesketh-Harvey isn't there after appearing in every winter season
since 1999.

* Marcus Brigstocke isn't there after appearing in all of the past five
seasons.

* Eighteen players in one 12 show season. Variety is the keyword it
seems - apart from having Paul on the left of the stage and Nicholas in
the middle...

Yeah. I’ve noticed a few things…

Paul usually misses at least one recording a series; and Clement misses two. But this series Clement misses three and Paul does them all. Could it be that we’ll hear less of Paul in the summer and more from somebody like Marcus, perhaps?
