Topic: Do you remember? (rain storm episode)

Message 1 / 3

A while ago I listened to an episode of JAM that had been recorded on
location under a tent. During the recording a large rain storm came up.

I have been trying to find this episode again to share with some
friends but have no idea which one it was. You will know if you have
heard it as the storm literally steals the show for a bit.

If you know the date, or can even help to narrow down the year, I would
appreciate it.

I remember those episodes, particularly the second one, it was hilarious, especially with the running gag of the sound of the rain sounding similar to frying up food.  I particularly loved Paul's comment towards the end 'I don't want to worry anyone, but I think we're drifting out to sea' or words to that effect.

welcome to the group.

You may be thinking of the two shows recorded at Fowey in Cornwall in 2002
with Paul Merton, Sir Clement Freud, Tony Hawks and Julian Clary. Shows 567
and 572. They are transcribed here
http://deanbedford. tripod.com/ jam460.html and here

cheers, Dean

Those are 2 of my favorite ones-I have been to Fowey during a storm-
the wind can really whip up the rain. Also those 2 shows are the ones
I envy being at ( even with the storm) as it took place during the
Daphne Du Maurier festival in fowey ( I am a big fan of her writings)
and to have JAM there as well.... I would have been in heaven rain or
no rain. Miriam
