I agree with everything you've written really. The last show for example
was a real classic of its kind. Tony Hawks is always great. Chris
Neill - I really don't understand why he is not a MUCH bigger name in
the US because he always seems so damn funny to me. And Justin Moorhouse
just fitted in - he was witty, he was good at the banter, he had
something to say when he had the subject (I hate the ones that scrap to
get the subject and then have absolutely nothing to say about it), and
he was competitive. And with all due respect to your accent Jeremy -
it's nice to hear a Northern accent.

As a newcomer David Mitchell was even better. A show with say Justin,
David, Ian McMillan and Robin Ince, to mention four of the most recent
newcomers, would be a very good show I'd say.

I think Claire Jones gives a lot of thought to her teams and tries to
get the mix of old and new right. On half of the shows this time we had
Paul and Clement. On the other six, the "second" persons were Tony,
Graham Norton and Gyles Brandreth - if you like the next three in line
in terms of being "regulars". The third persons were all sort of middle
experienced people (except for the shows with Jack Dee and Josie
Lawrence) and then there was one person who was new, first or second
time on the show (again apart from one recording). That's pretty good
planning to get the mix of experience with new voices right.

On David Mitchell, I just thought he sounded camp like say Chris Neill
or John Inman and was curious. I do hope he gets asked back soon.

So yes, really enjoyed that season - a lot. Now I have to wait till July
to feed my habit further... :(
