Sad passing of Clement Freud

A very sad moment, to lose the last of the original foursome.

I should like to remember him in the terms suggested by John Le Mesurier,
who, when asked how he would like people to remember him after his death,
replied that he disliked the usual euphemisms, and should prefer his
obituary to read: "John Le Mesurier conked out."

Whenever I hear Clement's name, the first thing I always think of is an old
gag which I heard many years ago. I think it was Barry Cryer who delivered
this line, in an edition from the 1970s radio comedy "Hello Cheeky".

Barry Cryer (in gruff-voiced lugubrious impersonation of Clement Freud):
"Henry, what happened to the money from the last comercial?"

Always makes me smile, when I think of him; and I hope always will.
