Oh tonight's show was incredible. Paul, Stephen and Jenny had me rolling on the floor trying in vain to keep my sides from splitting, and Nicholas reprised his Kenneth Williams impression when Stephen was challenged for "BBC". Charles had his moments, including a top rate Les Dawson impression, but couldn't keep up with the other three on the panel.

All round, one of the best episodes this series, maybe one of the best in the past few years!

I second that. As a matter of fact, almost exactly one year ago I was really worried about the future of JAM, with Nicolas suddenly sounding short breathed and not on top of the game at all, Clement (may he rest in peace) being just a shadow of himself, and with Paul being way too hyper and all over the place.

Therefore I am so very happy to see that with the current season they are really, really back on track. Nicolas being just what we love him for, Paul has found the balance and is back on top, and the average quality of this seasons shows is really high - this might even be one of THE seasons this decade.

I had a big grin on my face all show and was laughing loudly a lot of
the time - a strange thing to do when you're by yourself.
Jenny was great, Stephen was great, Charles was very good - I think his
best show yet, Nicholas was in tremendous form.

But the best was Paul. He was outstanding today, after what I thought
were quiet games at Edinburgh. He's human of course and is allowed the
odd off-day, but ... he is just hillarious when he is at his best. I
always thought Kenneth Williams lifted when the people around him were
at their best, maybe the same is true with Paul. He was just brilliant
today.

The other thing I liked about the show... Stephen Fry saying, presumably
truthfully, that he used to come and watch the show as a child. And
Jenny Eclair's excitement at being in front of possibly the two best
"players" of the game, Paul and Stephen. And the references to the way
Clement played the game, and the impressions of Kenneth (Charles did one
too).

I always love it when the rich history of the show is being referenced.
