... was BBC7's Comedy Controller yesterday & introduced an episode of JAM, with a story about his first appearance on the show in Scotland.

He arrived early, and was wandering around the theatre when be ran into Nicholas Parsons, and introduced himself & saying he was here for the show. "Yes, well, go into the theatre & wait for the rest of the audience to be admitted" Parsons said - he thought Fred was a competition ticket winner !

Strange he didn't know he was a panelist !!
