I've recently become interested in listening to the dad's army radio episodes, and while I have some of them on the official casettes, not all have been released.

Does anyone know of a similar group to this (or a web site) dedicated to Dad's Army BBC radio shows where I can get downloads of episodes I'm missing? Searching the net has turned up some 'torrentz' sites but I've never really figured out how to work such things and most that proclaim episode downloads are, in fact, actually selling episodes I already own on cassette. Even those I'd like to convert to .mp3s if possible.

Any help gratefully received. Thanks.

Just a couple of suggestions

1. Download utorrent (www.utorrent.com) - a safe and easy to use Bit torrent client.

2. Join the Radioarchive (www.radioarchive.cc) - it's safe and easy too and they have a phenomenal amount of radio stuff (including ALL the Dad's Army radio shows and the spin off series It Sticks Out Half A Mile!)

I tried both your suggestions and after a little messing about I finally managed to make a torrent download work for me and got the shows from the radio archive (although the download only really worked for me in the dead of night once my provider made some bandwidth available).

Utorrent obviously worked for me, but I do find that my Windows XP system doesn't shutdown properly after it has been used causing me to do a poweroff (while gritting my teeth) a couple of times.

Still, alls well that ends well! thanks once again.
