just when we are talking abt settings - this twitter pic is obviously
not great quality - but does give you a good idea of how they are set
up. It's of the recording a few hours ago.

that's just how I imagine it, less the blur obviously  =o)

makes the TV version an absolute anathema in my books

But come on... in all honesty a TV series is not going to be 6 people sitting behind a cloth covered table is it?! I agree that the series set was rather garish, but look at the gems of performances you get... the chance to see wonderful performers "in the flesh" ... people like Peter Jones, Linda Smith, Tony Hawks, Barry Cryer, Steve Frost, Gyles Brandreth, Pam Ayres, Wendy Richard - not to mention interesting guests like Jo Brand, John Sergeant, Brian Sewell...

Give the series a go, just ignore the set and enjoy the game...

I do enjoy the game, enormously....
....on the radio  =o]

anyways it's not just the set, it just doesn't seem right to me

I'm not surprised they try to liven it up with all that colour, there's just not much else to excite my visual cortex, I'll let my ears do the work thankyou
