it's been a while, but I thought I might add a little to what I've observed about Sheila over the years.

I've noticed that in spite of the fact that Nicholas is often the most patronizing and condescending to her, very often denying her challenges left right and center, she will still stand up for Parsons if she happens to be on a panel when someone else starts having a go at the chairman. 9 times out of 10 Sheila will challenge for deviation and get the subject.

something else I've noticed are rare occasions when Sheila sounds exasperated after a series of incorrect challenges made against her, and she comments about running out of things to say and actually wants someone else to have it, but still manages to continue. There are also those occasions when she challenges someone, usually afraid to get the subject because she doesn't have anything to say about the subject, which usually happens whenever its a subject that's especially chosen for Kenneth.

But i definitely think one of the highlights of Sheila's time on the show came about during the 35th anniversary show. During the subject of '10 Things You Never Knew About Nicholas Parsons', Clement went on a list of the things that are essentially true about Nicholas, that he's blind, hard of hearing, etc. and Nicholas grabs Sheila's buzzer to stop Clement and tried to pass it off that Sheila had challenged.
And then, when Nicholas asks Sheila what the challenge was, her reply was 'Well, you made me!' And then Nicholas tried to prompt her to challenge on deviation, and Sheila wasn't having any of it and said that she didn't think Clement was deviating at all.

it was pure comedy gold, because Nick was trying to get Sheila to defend him the way she usually does and for once she didn't. He essentially put both feet right into it.
