Re: 2 More 'Lost' Episodes #431 & #433

it's well established that Nicholas makes mistakes, and I sure as heck don't rely on him to be a historian, even though it seems that he can remember something about the show that happened 25 years ago yet can't seem to recall what was going on less than 5 seconds ago during a challenge.  I'm paraphrasing a point that Peter Jones made during a late 80's episode, I think Barry Cryer was on the panel, also Wendy Richard, and I think the subject was 'Sweetpeas'.

anyway, I think perhaps Maureen wasn't about to contradict Nicholas since there are plenty of others that do that sort of thing for her anyway.  ;)

This falls into a different category which you of all us will be
familiar with - Nicholas making a mistake. He isn't to be relied on as a
historian of the game.

My favourite example of this is in #415 in 1992 where he more than once
refers to Maureen Lipman as never having played before, though she did
do the show in 1982 (the show was on Just A Classic Minute Volume 2). I
can easily forgive Nicholas for forgetting this - but I always wonder
why Maureen didn't say something. She is after all a devotee of JAM by
her own admission so you think she might have remembered.
