That movie was from 1957 and featured the Ian Carmichael who died recently. I haven't seen it for many yrs so I can't give a real review of it. But it was one of the wonderful Boulting Brothers films much in the mode of "I'm Alright Jack" ( Ian carmichael and peter sellers)

Nicholas parsons does a good Dramatic performance in a Doctor Who episode from 1989 "The Curse of Fenic"

I believe it was during the subject of 'Piffle', and Paul pretty much made it known that Nicholas' acting in the movie was absolute piffle (to which Nicholas took great offense when the audience applauded Paul's remarks).

When Clement started talking, he made no reference to Brothers-in-Law at all. All he said was that he would like to talk about other films from the 1950's, and Nicholas' justification was that 'Brothers-in-Law' was a film from the 1950's. It may have been already established by Paul, but CLEMENT hadn't established that connection. And somehow I feel the only reason he left the subject with Clement was because Nicholas vainly thought that Clement was going to talk about other films that Nicholas appeared in or something.
