A few years ago when both Whose Line Is It Anyway (UK version) and Are
You Being Served were regulars on PBS TV in the US, the best for an
American was certainly 424/29/1 featuring as it does Tony Slattery,
Wendy Richard, Paul Merton and Clement Freud. And it stands alone quite
well, while giving you a hunger for more.

I didn't put it on the list of best ever though it would certainly not
be out of place on it - but I also used to suggest 491/36/5 (Paul, Derek
Nimmo, Tony Hawks and Blythe Duff) which is a good example of Paul and
the others are all funny with Blythe rather endearing.

It's harder to introduce people to Kenneth Williams - my impression is
that most people recoil from his over-the-top performances at first -
but the one I used to try people on was 218/10/24, with Aimi Macdonald,
Clement and Peter Jones because Kenneth is funny without being too
over-the-top and there's a silly but fun atmosphere.
