Just A Minute

Having had some time to relisten to some of the early episodes of the program, i thought i might dive back into a subject i started regarding individuals i feel should've never been on Just a Minute.  the next person is Juno Alexander.

 

Don't get me wrong, I think Juno seemed like a nice lady and all, and when she did have a chance to speak (which wasn't very often) she certainly did have some interesting things to say.  her first appearance in the late 60's was of particular interest, because that was the episode that seemed to allegedly coincide with Derek Nimmo's birthday.  Another one that seemed to stand out was an appearance she made just after Peter Jones became a regular, because I believe that episode had the subject of 'Machiavelli' i believe, which i found very interesting. 

 

anyway, i believe she made a few more appearances that weren't quite as memorable. My impression of Ms. or Mrs. Alexander overall is this: I felt sorry for Juno, because she seemed to give off this impression that she was just one subject away from having a nervous breakdown.  she seemed not only befuddled, but seemed to put too much pressure on herself, although given the fast paced nature of the program and given the chauvinistic big mouths that surrounded her, its no wonder during one show she exclaimed 'I'm having a heart attack!'

 

she seemed like a very nice lady and certainly did not need to be on a show like this if her nerves were about ready to explode any second.  I'm not sure what else she's done, so I'll now open the floor to anyone that would care to enlighten us about the lady in question.
