OT: Clue/Jack Dees Grauniad Article

BBC Radio 7 is surreptitiously bolstering Mr Dee just at present, by
subversively broadcasting some really awful editions of ISIHAC from the long
past, just to remind us how bad the show was when it first began.

Memory is a terribly selective thing. We tend to view ISIHAC through the
rosy glow of Humph's final ten years on the show, a point when it had become
exceptionally good. But we ignore its first ten years, when (in spite of the
wonderful Willie Rushton) it was, by its recent standards, at best mediocre.

Jack Dee simply needs to be given time to evolve into the part. Listen to
Radio 7, and learn that even Humph didn't achieve his god-like status
overnight...

My heartfelt sympathy goes to Stephen Fry, who has been unkindly villified
by the feature writer, and by many of those who've left comments on the
article on that webpage.
