"He's drawing a picture of mole with a wig on."

I LOVE it when they work together on a surreal running gag... with Tony, Ross and Paul on board it's a Dali delight.

And there were some serious and valid challenges for repetition, including one that was given in error: when Paul said "specific" then "particular" and was successfully challenged for repetition of "particular".

I was re-listening to the very first episodes this week and was surprised how NP refused challenges for clear and blatant repetition of words: he seemed to have a completely different definition of 'repetition' back then.

And in the last ep NP actually got a couple of challenges successfully arbitrated (after I yelled at him through my MP3 player)... good to see he's still able to do it.

Sometimes I think we need a second (electronic) umpire - i.e. audio replay - but that would imply this is a real competition.

Moles with careers - hehehehe. Why am I thinking of Soho hookers right now?

Believe me, its kind of a strange mirror the way things play out regarding repetition. In the very beginning a word had to be repeated a certain number of times before being counted as repetition. Nowadays Nick allows repetition of words even if someone has only said a word once. I dont think its right that no one argues that they didnt repeat a word, largely because the panelists always make the excuse that they werent listening to themselves.

Ross Noble is ideally suited to JAM. Its such a shame that he's not so available for shows anymore.

As for errors over repetitions ... they have happened in their hundreds over the years!
