For some surreal humour look up Big Train on YouTube - I love it (Kevin is one of the stars in it)
A cross between Monty Python and The League of Gentlemen
Thanks for the reminder - must go and download some episodes to watch again

Eldon is one of the best comic actors in Britain today. On Youtube look for "World of Pub", a criminally underrated sitcom in which he played a ducker and diver; he also stole the show on Knowing Me, Knowing Yule (the Christmas special) as "The Rude" Fanny Thomas; he featured regularly in Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle and came to prominence via Lee's earlier collaborations with Richard Herring in the mid-late nineties, memorably as Simon Quantick (I think) who had a range of quite bizarre hobbies.

Another good show Kevin Eldon was in is ElvenQuest - which was a funny radio spoof on Lord of the Rings type programmes. I'd upload it to the site but don't know how. But can recommend it. Kevin Eldon played 2 characters, Dean, the closeted gay dwarf, and Kreech, the evil sidekick of the villian. It's probably not everyone's cup of tea, but I found it very funny. For anyone who knows Elvenquest, the second series is starting next week on Radio 4 on 18th November 2010.
