Topic: Room 101 Hosts

I know this is only tangentially connected to JAM, but who would you
like to see host Room 101 now that Paul Merton has departed? I think
everyone should be able to nominate three people, so I choose the
following: Dara O'Briain, Jeremy Hardy, and Tony Hawks, although
admittedly I only chose Hardy and Hawks because I feel they haven't
had much to do lately.

I've only had the opportunity to see one edition of Room 101 with
Paul, who happened to have as guest the late and lamented Linda Smith.
Truthfully, I didn't really like the show that much, sadly. But maybe
if I had the opportunity to see a few more, I would enjoy it more.

Good question - you want someone who can provoke some humour
themselves. But also someone who can jolly the guest along
and won't want to completely dominate.

How about Julian Clary?

Meh, I don't really like JC.  I think he would tend to dominate the discussion somewhat.

I think it would be rather nice for Paul's old friend to take up his
show. I can imagine a Julian-hosted "Room 101" without even a stretch
of the imagination. I don't think Julian's as dominating as you might
think he would be; I see him as being able to interject quick, witty
comments (like Paul did) without totally taking attention off the guest.
