Having said all that, there's no denying that GB is a clever and entertaining man, and one of my favourite JAM regulars. His diary is a cracking read, too.

By the way, is it me, or is Sue Perkins getting better and better? She'll never be Linda Smith, but she really has settled well into the format. All we need is for them to persuade Sandi Toksvig to record some shows and I'll be truly happy.
