On the back of this I have decided to apply. I've gone for the max 2 tickets. I accidentally appear to have applied for the same date twice, given I got two responses from the BBC website by email (immediately) for that date. Thus it appears one can increase one's chances with multiple applications, ...............though I have not read any rules.............

You can select an email ticket that is printable at home.

BTW it's not impossible to get a ticket. I've been twice. When it's outside London, you have to get in quickly (first 15 minutes) and it's first-come-first-served. In this case, it's a raffle and applications are made over the course of a week (but somebody has to get a ticket).
